PT. Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (Kaltim Fertilizer is also called) is a one of the company's strategic industry in Indonesia with four factory units and five units of Ammonia Urea plant that currently makes the operation Pupuk Kaltim fertilizer factory in the world in one location that is located in Bontang, East Kalimantan .

Factory with the projected production capacity 570,000 tons per year were completed on 12 April 1999. Investment factory POPKA of USD 44 million and Rp 139 billion.
Kaltim factory-built 4 began in 1999 with a projected capacity of 570,000 tons of urea and granul Ammonia 330,000 ton per year. Urea factory successfully completed in mid 2002, while the Ammonia plant is completed in early 2003. In 2007, Kaltim Fertilizer NPK making factory in Bontang Blending fuse to produce NPK fosfatnya with import from Morocco.
